New Hornady Steel Match Handgun Ammo

New ammo from Hornady lets shooters fire more rounds for less money without sacrificing performance or power factor.

Steel Match handgun loads are available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP.

Grand Island, NE--Featuring Hornady HAP (Hornady Action Pistol) handgun bullets, Steel Match ammunition is loaded at the Hornady factory with optimized propellant for each load that provides consistency and the highest levels of accuracy. Utilizing polymer coated steel cartridge cases, and non-corrosive berdan primers, Steel Match ammunition delivers Hornady quality and performance, but with an economical price (saves as much as 40% when compared to brass case match ammo).

Steel Match .40 S&W and .45 Auto loads all meet IDPA/ IPSC/USPSA “Major” power factor performance criteria, but are kept to moderate velocities to deliver only mild recoil for reduced muzzle jump and fast recovery on target. Additionally, Steel Match 9mm meets “Minor” power factor criteria.
